EN - This "PRIVACY" page contains the confidentiality principles (hereinafter, the "Confidentiality Policy") established by the company Viparis Le Palais des Congrès de Paris, SAS with a capital of 110 187 701,22 EUR, registered under the number 712 045 491 RCS Paris, having its registered office at 2 Place de la Porte Maillot 75853 Paris cedex 17 - Tel. +33 (0)1 40 68 22 22 (hereinafter, " Viparis ").


The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to inform Users (as defined below) of the means implemented by Viparis to ensure the security of the collection and processing of their personal data via the site operated by Viparis as data controller (hereinafter, the "Site").

Viparis pays particular attention to the respectful processing of the personal data of the Site's Users and in this sense respects Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (known as the "RGPD"), as well as the law the law no. 2018-493 of June 20, 2018 on the protection of personal data, which amended the law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms, (hereinafter, collectively the "Regulations"). 

It is understood that Viparis reserves the right to modify the Confidentiality Policy, particularly in the event of changes in the way Data is processed or in the applicable Regulations. To find out the latest version, the User is invited to consult the "Privacy" page of the Site.


  1. DEFINITIONS

The words hereinafter defined, beginning with a capital letter, taken either in the singular or in the plural, shall have the following meaning: 


"Cookies": has the meaning set forth in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy.


"Data": means "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as the "data subject"); an "identifiable natural person" is deemed to be a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity" (Article 4 RGPD).

"Privacy Policy": refers to the present document available in the "Privacy" tab of the Viparis Site.

"Site": refers to the Internet site published and operated by Viparis as referenced in article 3 of the Privacy Policy. 

"Users": refers to users (i) browsing the Site

Within the meaning of Article 4. 7) of the RGPD, the data controller is the entity that determines the purposes and means of the processing.

In this respect, it is specified that Viparis is responsible for processing the Data collected via the Site and as listed below.

It is also understood that, in the context of managing the exercise of your rights, under the conditions indicated in article 9 of the Privacy Policy, Viparis is likely to collect the following Data:

proof of identity (if necessary, in case of doubt as to the identity of the User).

The Data marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory for your request to be processed. If the User does not wish to communicate the required Data marked with an asterisk (*) for this purpose, it is specified that his request may not be processed. In this case, the User is invited not to request the services associated with it.


  1. WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES OF THE PROCESSING? 

The collection of the aforementioned Data is carried out for the following purposes and on the following basis:

  • The sub-finalities of this processing linked to the management and follow-up of Viparis' relations with its Users in the broadest sense are necessary to pursue the legitimate interests of Viparis in ensuring the management and follow-up of its relations with the Users; 

  • The validation of Cookies is based on the User's consent to their placement, under the conditions indicated in article 10 of the Privacy Policy..

  • Viparis, its internal teams (sales, marketing, financial services, IT and legal services), subsidiaries and members of the group;

for Site hosting services (under the conditions indicated in article 6 of the present document); 

Viparis undertakes never to communicate your Data to a third party without your consent, notwithstanding the cases where their communication responds to an explicit request from an authority and/or a state organization in compliance with the legislation in force. 

In any case, Viparis has ensured that its service providers and subcontractors are in compliance with the Regulations.

  1. HOW LONG WILL YOUR DATA BE KEPT?

The Data collected by Viparis is kept for a period of time that does not exceed the duration necessary for the purpose of the treatment and the reasons for which they were collected, in compliance with the legislation in force, namely

  1. WHAT ARE VIPARIS' OBLIGATIONS?

As the person responsible for the processing operations defined herein, Viparis undertakes to : 

  • to keep a register of the processing carried out via the Site 

  • to put in place all appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the processing carried out via its Site, to guarantee the protection of the rights of Users and to meet the requirements of the applicable Regulations;  

  • restrict access to your Data to persons strictly authorized to do so; 

  • to have made its staff aware of and trained them in the processing of Data, in the provisions of the Regulations in force, and in their consequences; 

  • never transfer in any way whatsoever your Data to a third party without having duly and previously informed you;

  • guarantee all your rights of access, portability, deletion, rectification, opposition, limitation to your Data collected, under the conditions imposed by the Regulation and as defined in Article 9 of the Privacy Policy; 

  • notify the competent supervisory authority and yourself, if applicable, of the security breach presenting a high risk to your rights and freedoms within seventy-two (72) hours of the discovery of the breach, if required by the Regulation. For France, this is the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés ; 

  • to proceed to the deletion of your Data within the time limits indicated in article 7 hereof.


  1. WHAT ARE YOUR DATA RIGHTS AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM? 

The User is informed of the fact that he/she has, within the limits of the applicable Regulations, the following rights with respect to the Data collected and processed by Viparis:


  • a right of access (article 15 of the RGPD) ; 

  • a right of rectification (article 16 of the GDPR); 

  • a right to erasure (Article 17 of the GDPR);

  • a right to limitation of processing (Article 18 of the GDPR);  

  • a right to object (Article 21 of the GDPR); 

  • a right to portability (Article 20 of the GDPR).

For security reasons and to protect the privacy of its Users, Viparis may request proof of your identity in case of reasonable doubt.

In the context of exercising your rights, Viparis has a period of one (1) month from the receipt of the request to respond, notwithstanding the possibility of extending this period in the case of particular complexity.

The User is informed that he/she may, if he/she considers that his/her rights have not been respected, file a complaint with the CNIL by visiting the following link: https://www.cnil.fr/ for more information.

In addition, the User is duly informed that he/she can withdraw his/her consent at any time when it has been requested, by sending his/her request by email or by post to the addresses indicated above. Once his consent is withdrawn, the User is duly informed that he may no longer be able to use the Viparis functionalities and/or services for which his consent is essential. 

Finally, the User is duly informed that he/she may unsubscribe at any time from the mailing list of the various Viparis newsletters by clicking on the corresponding tab indicated in the newsletter messages, or by mail or email to the addresses mentioned above.


  1. WHAT IS THE COOKIE DATA MANAGEMENT POLICY? 

A Cookie is a small text file placed on the User's terminal when browsing the Site in order to recognize the terminal concerned each time the latter accesses digital content containing Cookies from the same issuer.

In general, the User is informed that the following categories of Cookies are likely to be placed on the Site:
